Granny's Clothes

Not for a long time my friend Cecilia told me that as it found out her grandmother was a writer. She wrote different novels. Cecilia even presented one of her books to me. Then Cecilia asked me who my grandmother was, but I couldn't answer her question. To my shame I didn't know who she was and how she lived. She died before my birth and her husband, my grandfather, shrank into himself after her death. It was a great love and her death killed him. I saw my grandfather only several times. Usually we call him and congratulate with this or another holiday.

He lives in the country. And I decided to visit him, to see how lived and to know everything about my granny and about the history of our family.

He was glad to see me. First he was a little embarrassed, but then he gave me a warm hug. First day after cup of tea he told me about my granny and her way of living. She was an actress of a theatre. And she liked to attend the so called artistic party very much. And very often my grandfather accompanied her. Also he showed their photo album. It was huge. I didn't even know that my grandmother was so beautiful and exquisite woman. In this photo album I came across one photo. She was in a dinner clothes and in wonderful shoes. Grandfather said, she was definitely a woman of fashion; she was wearing only designer clothes and shoes. On all photos she looked magnificent in posh and beautiful dresses. Next day he told me that there was an old case with all her clothes and things on the attic. I went to the attic alone, he didn't go there, because all her things remained him her - his lovely Caroline. I found this case easily. There was uncountable number of dresses. They were old, yellowed with age, but nevertheless they looked beautiful. Also there I found that designer shoes that I had seen on the photo. I fell in love with them at once. I even I asked my grandfather to present them to me and he agreed. It was fascinating country vacation. It lasted a week. I learned many interesting things about my granny and her life. Now I know who she was. And I want to be like my grandmother - a beautiful and exquisite woman surely.
